Thank you for your prayers
and interest in this ministry. It
is such a blessing and honor to be allowed by the Lord to minister in so many
churches around the country. I am so very thankful for every opportunity to
share the Good News and to make acquaintance with so many of God's wonderful
people. The passion to see souls saved and individuals powerfully impacted by
the Holy Spirit grows continually. With all that is taking place in our nation
as well as around the world, with the fears and concerns about the future that
abound... I believe THIS is the hour for the church of the Lord Jesus Christ!
This is what it is here for. For ONLY the church has the message of life
transforming hope. Through the power of the Holy Spirit this will be our finest
hour.
"...Be Filled with the Spirit"
Ephesians 5:18
Over the last may years I have become increasingly concerned with the level or, better expressed the depth of what we see in "Spirit-filled" believers. I am finding many who claim to be Baptized in the Spirit and yet there seems to be no change in their lives. No power, no gifts in evidence. It seems to me many have gotten hung up on the "initial" evidence and have stopped there. Genuine Pentecost is about seeing the power of the Holy Spirit actively working in and through the lives of believers.
The early believers as well as old time Pentecostals were people who pressed into an overflowing abundance of the Spirit. Possibly there is a correlation between the demise of the prayer meeting and generally the spirit of prayer and the fading evidences of true Spirit filled living. Pentecostals have traditionally understood that it is only through earnest prayer that we can expect to see the effective operation of the Holy Spirit in our lives individually and in the church corporately.
Prayer an fasting create the connection that allows Holy Ghost power to flow. It is in those times of waiting on the Lord in prayer, fasting and seasons of soaking that we can receive the mighty in-rush of the Spirit that creates a mighty out-rush of His power.
No wonder the Apostle urges the church at Ephesus (the most spiritually mature of the churches) to now stop with at the beginning of their walk in the Spirit. But to be continually be - being filled with the Spirit. As Pentecostals today can we do anything less. Fullness of the Spirit speaks of a continuous lifestyle. Let us seek Him diligently and expect the reward of intimacy with the Spirit.
"He will fill your heart today to over-flowing. As the Lord commandeth you, bring your vessels not a few. He will fill your heart today to over-flowing. With the Holy Ghost an power"
